Our Story

Programs

Six programs. One goal.

Help immigrant women and families build a stable, self-sufficient life in the United States.
Every program targets a specific barrier. Because we’ve seen what happens when those barriers come down.

Social Support

You don't have to figure America out alone.

The American system is complicated — even for people who grew up here. For someone who just arrived, it can feel impossible.

We help with that. Not in a vague, "here's a pamphlet" way. In a real, sit-down-with-you, here's-what-you-need-to-do way.

We help women navigate the system, find the right resources, build a local support network and make a plan. We run monthly women's circles — safe, facilitated spaces in Portuguese and Spanish. We connect people with legal rights information. And when someone needs emergency support, we know exactly where to send them.

Because knowing where to start changes everything.

Who it's for: Women who just arrived, or who've been here a while but are still struggling to find their footing.

Health & Wellbeing

You can't pour from an empty cup.

Immigration is hard on the body. Harder on the mind. Most of the women we serve are carrying a weight that most people can't see anxiety, grief, exhaustion, isolation.

We create space for that. Wellness workshops. Trauma-informed support groups, facilitated by partner psychologists. Practical tools for managing stress. And when someone needs more than we can offer, we connect them with the right clinics and professionals including bilingual therapists and community health centers like Shepherd's Hope.

Taking care of yourself isn't selfish. It's the foundation everything else is built on.

Who it's for: Any woman who's been running on fumes and hasn't had anyone ask how she's actually doing.

Education & Career

The skills to build the life you came here for.

A lot of the women we work with are overqualified for the jobs they're doing. They have experience, drive and talent — but no English, no American resume, no idea how the job market here actually works.

We fix that.

Functional English for the workplace. Financial literacy and budgeting. Resume writing and interview prep. Career guidance. Leadership workshops. And for the ones with a business idea in the back of their mind — an introduction to what entrepreneurship looks like in the U.S., with a focus on flexible models that work around real life: kids, schedules, limited starting capital.

We also connect women with accessible certifications in high-demand fields like healthcare, hospitality and beauty services — areas with proven local demand and fast pathways to employment.

Who it's for: Women who are ready to move up, move forward or start something new.
